Todas las subastas / Joyería & gemas / Snake Ring with two Diamonds in Yellow Gold, from our Workshop

This ring from our workshop is in the form of two snakes that wrap tightly around each other. One snake winds around the finger from the right, the other from the left. Their heads are next to each other. A brilliant-cut diamond of 0.10 ct sets the heads of each of the mysterious animals. Their bodies are made from warm, shimmering, high-carat yellow gold. Snake rings are an ancient symbol of friendship and solidarity. The ancient Egyptians were already familiar with this idea, and in Germany it experienced a heyday in the Biedermeier period and later a renewed renaissance in Art Nouveau. In England, snake rings are also known as "promise rings", as they were often given as gifts with a promise: Just as the snake wraps itself inextricably around the finger, the friendship or love of the giver(s) should be as firm, inextricable and lasting. We made the ring sustainably from recycled gold and vintage diamonds. The model was a ring from late Victorian England. We can also set other gemstones in the heads of the snakes and change the ring to any desired size!
