The work combines an iconic red mouth, lightning bolts, and handwritten fragments of Psalm 1 with provocative statements and references to rock ’n’ roll, creating a tension between spirituality, rebellion, and personal freedom. The contrasting imagery invites reflection and leaves room for individual interpretation. The combination of spontaneous brushwork, transparent layers of paint, and handwritten texts is characteristic of Belle Doxx’s oeuvre. Belle Doxx has developed in recent years into a prominent name within contemporary art. Her work was shown during a solo exhibition at Shelter Amsterdam, a solo show at Gallery BLNDSH in The Hague, and at the NOCKNOCK Art Fair in Amsterdam. In addition, she participated in a group exhibition at Black Art Gallery in Antwerp, where internationally renowned artists such as Harif Guzman and Stig De Block also exhibited. Beyond her gallery presentations, Belle Doxx collaborated with the international artist Machine Gun Kelly, for whom she developed artwork for merchandise. Her work was also presented in 2025 by Playboy, giving her oeuvre broad attention beyond the traditional art world. Belle Doxx is known for her expressive painting style in which street art, neo-expressionism, and pop art come together. By combining text, symbolism, and intuitive painting, her works explore contemporary themes such as identity, faith, power, and freedom. Her work is held in private collections both domestically and abroad and attracts a growing number of collectors of contemporary art.
