Todas las subastas / Arte Antiguo / Ancient Roman, Empire Glass Miniature bottle - 80 mm

Miniature translucent glass flask of pale green, blown on the moment, with an elongated conical body, ending in a rounded base. The birth of the long cylindrical neck is highlighted by a slight narrowing achieved with a tool. It ends with a flared mouth with a throated lip, folded inward and then irregularly flattened, a more marked support on one side having caused a slight deformation of its profile. The base retains the pontil mark and the glass preserves some fine iridescent traces. - Roman Empire - Dimension: 80 x 17 x 17 mm - Dating: 1st-2nd century AD - Provenance: From the V.A collection, Maastricht, Netherlands. - Literature: Peter Cosyns, Annemie De Vos and Eugène Warmenbol, Ancient Glass.
