We offer a selection of 12 red wines from renowned wineries. 1) La Janasse winery : Terre de Bussière 2022 The Terre de Bussière 2022 stands out for its intense, deep red color. It reveals aromas of ripe red and black fruits, sweet spices, and licorice. On the palate, it is rich, elegant, and well-structured, with a spicy note on the finish. This wine captivates with its balance and aging potential. The 2022 vintage was marked by favorable weather conditions, allowing for optimal ripening of the grapes. This wine expresses all the richness and finesse of this year, perfectly reflecting its terroir of origin. Domaine de la Janasse, renowned in the Rhône Valley for the quality and elegance of its wines, practices sustainable viticulture and meticulous winemaking to enhance the distinct character of its terroirs. Located in the southern Rhône, the vineyard benefits from a warm, sunny Mediterranean climate, combined with clay-limestone and stony soils ideal for Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. Sustainable vineyard management ensures healthy, high-quality grapes with every harvest. Food and wine pairings: This wine pairs perfectly with grilled red meat, charcuterie, duck breast salad, poultry in sauce, pot-au-feu, and even chocolate cake. 2) La Janasse winery : Côtes-du-Rhône 2023 AOC certified organic The 2023 Côtes du Rhône red from Domaine de la Janasse is a wine from the Côtes du Rhône AOC appellation, produced in the southern Rhône Valley and reflecting the estate’s commitment to quality and expressive terroir. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red color with bright and lively reflections. The nose opens with generous aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, combined with hints of black fruits, spices, and a subtle touch of garrigue typical of the region. On the palate, the wine is round, fruity, and well balanced, supported by smooth tannins and a pleasant freshness that brings harmony and drinkability. The blend, mainly based on Grenache with Syrah and Mourvèdre, gives the wine structure, aromatic richness, and a supple texture. The nose is pleasant and aromatic, with notes of fresh red fruit. On the palate, these fresh red fruit flavors are present, accented by the Syrah’s spicy notes. Made from 100% Syrah, this wine is a blend from plots located on the edges of the crus within the Collines Rhodaniennes IGP, and is aged for eight months, split equally between barrels and tanks. Best enjoyed young, within 3–4 years. Food and wine pairings: Pair with charcuterie or grilled meats such as beef skewers. 4) Stéphane Montez winery : Syrah à Papa 2024 Domaine du Monteillet’s “Syrah à Papa,” crafted by Stéphane Montez, charms with its ruby-red color and purplish highlights. The vineyard is located in the Northern Rhône Valley, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate with continental influences. The nose opens with intense aromas of ripe black fruits—blackberry, blackcurrant—enhanced by delicate peppery and spicy notes typical of Syrah. It is an expressive and convivial wine, to be enjoyed now for the pleasure of its fruit.
