Mc Banksy cone in a box-frame for a wall display by XTC. A reworking of a McDonald’s cone, capturing the delicacy of Banksy’s work with the abundance of McDonald’s, represented by the quantity of hearts. Original sculpture designed, crafted, and finished by the artist XTC using polyethylene, resin and acrylic paints and varnishes, framed This is not a cardboard McDonald’s cone; everything is made from plastics and painted by XTC. The frame is part of the artwork. It comes with a plastic pane, you can display it with or without, as in the first and third photos. Signed and numbered on the back up to 20, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided. The piece shipped is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar. Careful and tracked shipping. Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual investigation has become a passion that had to come to fruition. XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the détournement of contemporary mass consumption goods. His creativity expresses itself through bold staging of icons of popular consumer culture (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermès, Veuve Clicquot champagne or caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds. He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals. He is inspired, among others, by Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey and advertising and addictions in general. All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
