Karlsson - Iconic '9 Time Zone' Bubble World Clock - Brushed Stainless Steel - Millennium Era Step back into the turn of the millennium with this breathtaking and highly sought-after Karlsson 'World Class' 9-Time Zone Bubble Wall Clock. A true statement masterpiece of industrial minimalism, this clock effortlessly bridges the gap between retro-futurism and corporate high-tech design. With its commanding 40x40 cm presence, it transforms any wall into an instant focal point, channeling pure executive elegance and Space Age nostalgia. [Design & Materials – Highlighting Premium Quality] The clock is built upon a heavy, flawless panel of brushed premium stainless steel (RVS), capturing and reflecting light with a subtle satin glow. Embedded into the metal are 9 individual time zones, each protected under its own crystal-clear, convex acrylic 'bubble' lens. The iconic visual rhythm is created by the clean, stark-black Bauhaus-style numerals, perfectly contrasted by sleek black hour/minute hands and vibrant crimson-red sweeping seconds hands. Unlike cheaper imitations, this masterpiece houses 9 independent, high-precision quartz movements on the reverse side. This allows the collector to fully customize the display to their preferred global financial hubs, travel destinations, or personal time zones. * NO BATTERIES INCLUDED* • Top Row: Los Angeles | New York | Buenos Aires • Middle Row: London | Berlin | Moscow • Bottom Row: Bangkok | Hong Kong | Tokyo The clock is in excellent vintage condition. The brushed steel panel retains its beautiful, uniform grain with minimal signs of age. The 9 acrylic bubble lenses are remarkably clear, vibrant, and free of deep scratches. All 9 independent quartz movements have been tested and run beautifully, accurately keeping time. • Brand: Karlsson (World Class Line by Present Time, Netherlands) • Era: Late 1990s / Early 2000s • Style: Space Age / Industrial Minimal / High-Tech • Materials: Brushed Stainless Steel, Acrylic Glass, Aluminium hands • Dimensions: 40 x 40 x 5 cm • Weight: Approx. 2.1 kg (excluding batteries) • Power Supply: 9x AA batteries (not included) While Karlsson produced several 4- and 5-dial variants, this symmetrical 9-dial configuration is the absolute holy grail for collectors of modern design. This specific model is no longer in production, making pristine examples increasingly rare and highly collectible on the international design market. Perfect for a modernist home interior, a luxury loft, or a high-end design studio. An iconic piece of Dutch design history that will only appreciate in value. Happy bidding!
