Wintermagic - Gesa Reuter

Wintermagic by Gesa Reuter Painting 28.0 x 28.0 :: This is a special painting from my ""Shadowland""-series. It is the atmosphere of a clear sunny frosty winter day in my area. Wintering is a word that means taking time off normal life to reset batteries reflect reduce come to the essence sometimes because there is not much else to do sometimes as a metaphor for a crisis in life. like a loss illness change. Usually when spring comes we come back to life with more power energy and knowing better who we are. So wintering can be seen as a necessary process in life that you can as well embrace and enjoy. 70x70x3 cm ink watercolors gouache and acrylics on birch panel gessoed 3 times and on the back to prevent the wood from bulging. UV-protection spray varnished. The sides are left unpainted and are sanded carefully and smoothly then waxed for protection so that you can hang it unframed as it is. I think the sides are especially beautiful. (The wood is very stable but it could maybe happen over many years that it might work. That would be part of the artwork that I would love and embrace as it is a sign of life.) :: Type: Painting Medium: Acrylic Style: Contemporary Subject: Landscape Width: 28.0 Height: 28.0 Depth: 1.5 Weight: 1 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
