Wall mirror - Wood, Glass

Luigi XV Antique Wall Mirror in Carved and Gilded Wood – 19th Century Elegant antique wall mirror in the Louis XV style, dating to the 19th century, crafted in finely carved and gilded wood. The frame features a rich, shaped border, characterized by a refined sequence of scrolls, curls, and foliate motifs, typical of Rococo taste. The upper part is adorned with a prominent pierced crest with relief decorations, while the sides unfold through elegant, sinuous ornamental elements. The lower portion ends with a wide carved shell motif, harmoniously completing the composition. The mirror has an antique surface with evident signs of oxidation and altered reflectivity, features that attest to the passage of time and confer authenticity to the piece. The back preserves a wooden framework with closing boards and cross bracing. The gilding shows natural signs of aging and small wear, consistent with the object's antiquity.
