Old hand-painted rustic folk-art miniatures – a cabinet, table, and 4 chairs – charming ensemble Charming set of six small, hand-painted-looking wooden furniture in the traditional rustic cabinetmaker style. The set consists of a two-door cabinet, a rectangular table, and four matching chairs. The furniture is in gray-green tones with decorative details in beige, ochre, and orange. The hand-painted floral and plant motifs and the differently colored edges give the pieces a distinctive folkloric charm. The cabinet features a curved top edge and two doors with simple metal fittings. Inside there is a shelf and a divider in the lower section. The table and chairs are also decorated with floral motifs. The simple wooden construction and the individually executed painting convey a rustic, artisanal character. The wood is presumably spruce or another conifer. Blueish paint traces are visible on various edges and wooden parts, which may indicate an older painting or later refinishing. It cannot be conclusively determined whether the furniture was originally painted in a different color. Dating: Probably the first half of the 20th century; an older origin is not excluded. A precise dating and regional origin are not known. Material: Wood, presumably spruce, with multicolored painting and metal fittings on the cabinet. Dimensions: * Cabinet: height about 27.5 cm, width about 17.8 cm, depth about 7.4 cm * Table: height about 13 cm, length about 24.8 cm, width about 16.8 cm * Four chairs: each height about 13.5 cm, width about 7 cm, depth about 6 cm Scope: 6 pieces of furniture – 1 cabinet, 1 table, and 4 chairs. Condition: Age- and wear-related marks with paint wear, scratches, small losses of color, and wear at edges and surfaces. Some older paint remnants are visible in places. The furniture has a pronounced patina. Please refer to the photos documenting the condition and the details of the painting. A decorative ensemble for collectors of miniature furniture, traditional folk art and rustic rural furniture, as well as for enthusiasts of historic dollhouse interiors.
