My pieces are conceived to be companions rather than possessions. I give my objects organic, animated characteristics, hoping they become attached to as if they were pets. Vincent Decat is a Paris-based artist-designer, a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, who explores the boundaries between design and sculpture. He regards the durability of an object not only through its materials, but primarily through the emotional connection it evokes. By making his objects almost alive, they become companions that one must care for, keep, and cherish. A Little Desert Soul is imagined as a solitary traveler crossing the desert. A discreet presence, born and shaped by its environment. Fully handmade, the piece combines patinated concrete, copper and textile, blending rough mineral textures with delicate and tactile elements. Technical details: Cable length: 2.5 meters. Equipped with a dimmer to adjust the light intensity. Operates on a 220–230 V supply with Type E plug. #parisapartment
