Viking Age, silver finger ring, formed from a single broad strip of hammered sheet silver, curved into a slightly irregular hoop. The exterior is decorated with double rows of circular punch marks following both the upper and lower edges. The individually applied impressions vary slightly in size, depth and spacing, a testament to the distinctly hand-worked character. The silver displays an attractive aged surface with deposits and signs of wear consistent with age and use.
