Inside you will primarily find the following stories and narrative segments: - Venom: The Lost Days (from The Amazing Spider-Man #388) Plot: After bonding permanently with the alien symbiote, Eddie Brock contemplates his vendetta against Spider-Man. The story follows Eddie as he tails Peter Parker to Atlantic City, seeking the right moment to eliminate him while dealing with his own instability and loneliness. - Venom: First Blood (Parts 1-3) (from The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #26, The Spectacular Spider-Man #12 and Web of Spider-Man #8) Plot: This sequence explores the very early moments of the bond between Eddie and the alien creature. It recounts the journalist Eddie Brock's descent into despair—who, after losing his job thanks to Spider-Man, goes to a church to take his own life—up to the fateful encounter with the symbiote, with whom he discovers a visceral, shared hatred for the Wall-Crawler. Short stories and editorial insights The volume also includes bridging content, fact sheets, and short stories or What If...? from the period (such as the confrontation/interaction between Venom and the Punisher) aimed at defining the status of the "lethal protector" and antihero that the character was earning in those years on American pages.
