Divisional Series 2026, Fior di Conio edition with bimetallic 5 euro coin, 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi - THE FIRST OF POPE LEO XIV - NEW IN THE ORIGINAL FOLDER SOLD BY THE VATICAN SERIES IN HIGH DEMAND DUE TO NUMISMATIC INTEREST WARNING – FOLDER ALREADY AVAILABLE FOR SHIPMENT Reserves or refunds are not accepted as the folder is shipped as issued by the mint. Description: The new Vatican divisional series, the first of Pope Leo XIV’s pontificate, is inspired directly by the pontiff’s coat of arms, reproduced on the cover with a plaster-like effect and raised on an ivory background, while an intense blue characterizes the inscriptions and salient graphic elements, recalling the colors of the two heraldic fields of the Holy See’s shield. The same color pairing will later appear, even more prominently, in the new packaging line that will accompany upcoming numismatic emissions. Thus not a purely aesthetic choice, but a true homage and a direct reference to the new pontificate. The coins housed inside feature an unprecedented alternation between the papal effigy and the papal coat of arms: the effigy appears on the larger denominations, the coat of arms on the smaller ones, in a graphic design unprecedented in the history of Vatican divisional coins. The 2-euro coin also contains the distinctive elements of Leo’s coat of arms: the lily, a symbol of purity and Marian devotion, and the burning heart pierced by an arrow above an open book, emblem of Augustinian spirituality and of the power of God’s Word capable of transforming the heart of man. The bimetallic 5-euro coin, completing the set, dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi on the eighth centenary of his death, depicts the stripping away, a decisive moment in the Saint’s conversion and the true manifesto of Franciscan spirituality: the abandonment of all possessions, detachment from the past, and total trust in God. With these two issues, the Government Office of the State of Vatican City aims to celebrate the beginning of Leo XIV’s pontificate through an unprecedented artistic language, able to unite tradition and innovation.
