Vase - cloisonné enamel, Brass, Copper - China (No reserve price)

A refined and elegant pair of Chinese vases with lids (also known as ginger jars or potiche), entirely handmade with the intricate cloisonné enamel technique on a metal alloy base (brass/copper). The vases feature a globular body clad in a luminous emerald green enamel background, finely decorated with large peony flowers shaded in tones of pink, white, and yellow. The peony, in Asian culture, is a symbol of prosperity, honor, and good fortune. The upper part and the lid are enriched with meticulous geometric and multicolored floral motifs of a classical taste. The interior of the vases and the lower base of the lid show the classic and captivating turquoise blue enameling, typical of traditional craftsmanship. The great added value of this lot is its intact documentary dossier, attesting to its exact historicity: Original Chinese Certificate of Origin from the period: issued by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) CCPIT Certificate of Origin, bearing the printed date 12 November 1977 (and a handwritten note 5-12-78). The document testifies to the official export by the Kwangtung (Guangdong) branch. Italian Origin Certificate: Original fabric tag coordinated with a metal eyelet seal, used at the time of import into Italy in the late 1970s to guarantee its antique provenance.
