She is notably known for her artistic transformations of commercial Playmobil XXL figures, which she uses as supports to create unique sculptures. Her works are acquired in France and internationally by collectors, companies and private clients. She also produces bespoke creations. Her work is featured on her official website, on social networks and for several years on Catawiki. TIME IS MONEY With TIME IS MONEY, Vanessa Fodera transforms a commercial Playmobil XXL base of about 65 cm into a contemporary Pop Art sculpture that has been entirely reworked. The work combines painting, projection effects, graphic compositions, transfers, assemblies, decorative elements and a glossy lacquer finish. The deliberately explosive palette mixes green, pink, violet, orange, black and gold. The references to money, luxury watches and Rolex are integrated into a composition around value, time and success. Several messages run through the sculpture: TIME IS MONEY THE ONLY RULE IS THAT THERE ARE NO RULES NO WAR CROIS EN TOI (grow in yourself) These elements create a contrast between material wealth, individual freedom, passing time and personal values. The watch, the crowns, the monetary signs and the graphic references to luxury are deliberately juxtaposed with the more human messages present throughout the work. The hat, arms, torso, back, legs and shoes have all undergone specific artistic treatment. Technique: mixed media The creation combines: - preparation and transformation of the support - painting and projection effects - gradient and overlay work - graphic composition - printing and transfer - decorative relief elements - assembly - metallized finishes - varnish and glossy satin finish The whole is realized in Vanessa Fodera's workshop. This is not a simple decorative object, but an original work created from a heavily transformed commercial base.
