In Victorian England, at the time of Oskar Wilde and Dante Gabriel Rossetti, society ladies liked to wear many different rings on their hands. Each ring had a personal meaning for her, commemorating a beautiful event, for example, and their interaction told a whole life story. The rings of the time were therefore designed across the finger and were rather narrow: this meant that several rings could be worn side by side on the same finger. Wearing only single, purely decorative, but larger rings on the hand only came into fashion later. This ring was created in our goldsmith's workshop with the idea of reviving this British tradition. Sky-blue sapphires and diamonds as white as clouds in a summer sky are set in warm yellow gold. The side view of the ring shows romantic ornaments derived from 19th century jewellery. In addition, all the stones are set in such a way that the ring is also ideal for everyday wear. We offer this ring in various designs, which can be easily combined with one another.
