Brand new, Swiss Made, Universal Genève Microtor Cabriolet Automatic watch. Founded in 1894, Universal Genève is one of Switzerland's most prestigious watch manufacturers, celebrated for its innovative designs and mechanical excellence. Throughout its history, the brand has been responsible for numerous horological innovations, including the famous Microtor movement and the world's first patented reversible watch case introduced in 1928. The Microtor Cabriolet pays tribute to this remarkable heritage. Introduced in 2008, this distinctive timepiece features a unique reversible case system that allows the watch to rotate 180 degrees, protecting the crystal while revealing the mechanical heart of the watch. Combining Art Deco inspiration, contemporary engineering and an in-house Microtor movement, the Cabriolet stands as one of the most original creations in modern Swiss watchmaking. Model: 8101.129-006 Dial: Silver-white textured dial with oversized blue Arabic numerals, blued Dauphine hands, railway minute track and panoramic curved date display at 6 o’clock. The reversible Cabriolet case design allows the dial to be protected when the case is rotated. Case size: 32.5 x 51.5 mm. Case material: Polished stainless steel rectangular Cabriolet case with patented reversible 180-degree rotating system, inspired by Universal Genève's historic 1928 invention. The ingenious mechanism allows the watch to be turned over, protecting the crystal while revealing the movement through the sapphire display back. Glass: Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Movement: Universal Genève Manufacture Calibre UG 101 automatic Microtor movement, 30 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour and approximately 42 hours power reserve. Special feature: Patented Cabriolet reversible case system allowing the watch case to rotate 180 degrees for crystal protection and movement display. Bracelet/strap: Genuine alligator leather strap with Universal Genève stainless steel deployant clasp. WR: 50 m (5 ATM / 165 ft). Functions: Hours, minutes, panoramic date display and automatic winding. Caseback: Reversible sapphire display case revealing the manufacture Microtor calibre with Geneva stripes, blued screws and finely decorated bridges.
