This is an absolute top drawer for the serious collector. Unique original entomological museum drawer 40 x 30 cm with glass lid and 20 specimens from the ex. Vestergaard collection. All equipped with original handwritten field labels. This is not standard decorative lot, but a scientifically documented world-wide lot. Not a single butterfly without data !!!! Everything collected with find location, date, altitude and larval data. The provenance spans 4 continents—from the Amazon in Peru/Colombia to Cameroon, Central Africa, La Réunion, Israel, Mongolia, China, Paraguay and Trinidad. This kind of complete, labeled Vestergaard drawers almost never comes onto the market anymore. Especially not with this diversity of large Nymphalidae.  Description: Exceptional and 100% original lot of 20 prepared day-flying butterflies in original wooden museum drawer with glass lid (40 x 30 cm) Originating from the famous Vestergaard collection. This lot is unique for its complete documentation and geographic distribution. Each butterfly has its own original label, largely handwritten by Vestergaard himself. This is not shop material, this is old fieldwork from 1973 to 2005. The condition is excellent for its age. Colors are very vivid, antennae intact, perfectly mounted on white foam. The drawer is in excellent condition. This is a museum-worthy lot – impossible to gather together in this way today. Detailed inventory (from top left to bottom right): ROW 1: 1. If you buy multiple drawers we can arrange possible personal delivery. When shipping, we will package the drawers with care and utmost protection. Although all insects are securely mounted on pins, there is always a small chance of damage. Therefore shipping is at your own risk.
