(Costruzioni Orologi e Apparecchi Meccanici / Radio COMO) Country of production: Italy Era: Late 1930s / Early 1940s Moveable material: Wood veneered with period finishes Working state: Not tested / To restore (The radio powers on, the circuit receives power and the tubes heat up / buzz, but being not a technician and lacking an antenna it has not been tested for station reception. C.O.M.O. around the late 1930s to early 1940s. This receiver represents a piece of Italian radiotechnical design history of the period. The shaped wooden cabinet features the typical lines of the era, with an integrated front grille and the original dial scale perfectly preserved and legible. Conditions and Details: Appearance: The wooden cabinet is solid and structurally intact, with natural patina and light signs of wear related to age. The grille fabric, knobs, and dial scale are original. Electronics / Mechanics: The appliance has not been voltage-tested for safety reasons and to preserve the integrity of the original internal components (tubes and era capacitors). It is sold as a collectible object, for display or for a conservatively/functional restoration project. Integrity: Components and case visibly preserved in original condition without invasive modern restoration. Object of notable collectible interest, perfect for enthusiasts of Italian vintage radios, corporate museums, or as a charming vintage furniture accessory.
