Umberto Mascagni - Credenza - 1950s sideboard by Umberto Mascagni

Elegant vintage sideboard/bar cabinet by Umberto Mascagni, dating from the 1950s, a refined expression of Italian design of the period. The piece stands out for its particular geometric structure, characterized by three decorative front panels with refined figurative motifs, framed by dark and metallic profiles, and by the large top mirror that gives depth and brightness to the whole. The decorations, with retro and Art Deco taste, confer a scenographic and refined character to the piece, making it an authentic furnishing element as well as a functional container. The construction combines wood, decorated glass, metal elements and synthetic covering materials, in keeping with the distinctive material and decorative language that characterizes Mascagni’s production in the 1950s. A piece of great charm for collectors and enthusiasts of Italian modern design, perfect as a sideboard, bar cabinet or a focal element in a contemporary, vintage or eclectic setting. Shows normal signs of wear due to age and use. The lock of the central door is decorative. The protective glass has a slight internal chipping on the left side.
