Rare Christmas card personally signed by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother (1900–2002), dated 1957. Large-format Royal Christmas card featuring a colour photograph of The Castle of Mey, the Queen Mother’s beloved Scottish residence in Caithness. Inside, the card bears the Christmas greeting: “With Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year” followed by “from Elizabeth R”, signed in ink by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. The card is decorated with the Royal Crown and dates from 1957, only a few years after the Queen Mother acquired and restored the Castle of Mey. A particularly attractive piece of British Royal memorabilia, combining an original royal autograph with an image closely associated with the Queen Mother’s private life.
