Created in Italy in 1969 by Guido Martina and Giovan Battista Carpi, Paperinik, known in English as the Duck Avenger, is Donald's secret masked identity: a justice-seeking hero who has become one of the most beloved characters in European Disney comics. In this dynamic image by veteran Disney artist Tony Fernandez, the Duck Avenger stands high above the streets of New York, his cape flowing in the wind, surrounded by vertiginous skyscrapers. The dramatic perspective and the bold black, white and yellow palette give the scene the power of a classic superhero comic cover. Reproduced as a high-quality fine art giclée on art paper and hand signed by the artist, it is an accessible way to own a striking work by Tony Fernandez. ▸ Fine art giclée on art paper ▸ Format: 45 x 32 cm (unframed) ▸ Hand signed by the artist Tony Fernandez is a veteran Disney artist who has been drawing Disney's most beloved characters for more than 35 years and continues to work for Disney in Europe today.
