Object description: This fascinating contemporary work combines classical still-life elements with a mysterious, surrealist component. At the center of the composition are a transparent drinking glass and a dark green/turquoise glass bottle, placed on a rustic wooden surface. The special highlight of the painting is the optical illusion in the glass of water: in the refracted light of the water, the portrait of a young woman emerges, her piercing, melancholic gaze directly captivating the viewer. The skilled execution of light refraction, transparency, and reflections gives the work a deep, emotional atmosphere. The color palette is composed of muted earth tones, greens, and browns, creating a harmonious yet enigmatic overall impression. The work is signed and dated by the artist in the bottom right.
