Delftware tile (Netherlands) with a boat under a pine in a circular medallion - 18th century Magnificent antique Dutch Delftware tile, painted in cobalt blue under glaze. The central design depicts a circular medallion framing a lively riverside landscape with an elegant sailboat navigating near a gnarled pine with intricately detailed branches, and a flock of birds in the sky. The corners (spandrels) are adorned with the traditional stylized four-petal floral motifs with dots (daisies). The back presents the rough clay surface characteristic of authentic old productions.
