Black Onyx and Brass - Tibetan-Inspired Craftsmanship — This lot features a necklace with a contemporary design and a strong symbolic impact, a talisman that unites the mineral elegance of black onyx with the suggestion of a stylized crow skull. The piece, recently created and Tibetan-inspired, stands out for its balance between natural forms and geometric purity, creating an accessory with a unique character. The centerpiece of the composition is the crow skull pendant, skillfully crafted in brass. The satin finish of the metal gives it a warm golden hue, creating a vibrant contrast with the deep black of the beads. The photographs highlight the care given to the stylized anatomical details, such as the incised cranial sutures on the cranium and the wide orbital cavities, which add depth and sculptural realism to the object. The skull shape is powerful and iconic, a universal symbol reinterpreted with a modern aesthetic. The necklace consists of a regular sequence of black onyx spherical beads. Onyx, a variety of chalcedony, is presented here in perfectly smooth spheres that reflect light with a glassy, discreet luster. The color is a solid, uniform black, which lends the piece an aura of mystery and elegance. The continuity of the bead sequence is rhythmically interrupted by small brass spacer elements, echoing the material and color of the pendant, ensuring stylistic and visual coherence across the whole creation. The overall design is a dialogue between materials and symbols. Brass, with its antique yet luminous appearance, pairs with the earthy, compact nature of onyx. The crow skull, an element often associated with knowledge, magic, and transformation in shamanic and folkloric cultures, becomes the protagonist of a visual narrative. This is a piece of jewelry that is not just an ornament, but a conversation starter, a secular amulet for the contemporary world. Handmade, this piece sits at the crossroads of ethnic jewelry and minimalist design. Although of modern manufacture, it evokes the atmospheres and iconography of ancient Himalayan talismans, making it a fascinating object for those who appreciate unconventional goldsmith art. Its sculptural nature makes it perfect not only to wear but also to display as a small work of art in a personal collection or in a modern Wunderkammer.
