This is a hand-knotted Oriental rug, made from durable, natural materials. The way it is knotted and the diversity of patterns make this rug unique and emphasize its authentic, artisanal character. This magnificent Tibetan is hand-knotted with the finest, unbleached wool sourced from sheep in the high Tibet region. This wool is naturally extra fatty due to the cold temperatures (it acts as insulation for the sheep). When used in carpets, this wool not only provides a beautiful, extra shine but also acts as a natural protective layer. Better quality wool is (almost) not found. Natural color variation is visible, because the wool is NOT bleached before the first dye bath. This gives the rug an authentic appearance and contributes to the character of this rug that is full of stories. Main color: Sand Details: Each rug has a lighter and a darker side (wing).
