Born on 12 September 1946 in the Brabant countryside, Heesakkers has established himself as a very gifted flower and still-life painter. After four years at the academy, visits to various museums and several private lessons, Thomas has imparted to his paintings a wholly personal color and sensibility. Besides painting still lifes, Heesakkers also paints landscapes in the style of the Romantic School. He presents all his subjects in a very romantic manner. His works also convey an atmosphere of calm and monumentality. The artist and the man have become one; never pushy, but emotional. His paintings are a feast of colors and have an atmospheric appearance, and are therefore highly sought after. He has held exhibitions in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Haarlem, Eindhoven and Venlo.
