They are chairs that fully breathe eighteenth-century neoclassicism, filtered through the British taste that Thomas Chippendale took to its utmost sophistication. The walnut structure — that noble wood that ages with a peculiar dignity — shows a soft, authentic wear that does not detract from beauty but adds historical depth. The patina, the small marks of time, the natural darkening of the grain: all contribute to that sense of a lived, inherited, respectfully preserved object. Carving is the heart of the piece.
