The Bell Ringer - Newel Hunter

The Bell Ringer by Newel Hunter Painting 11.0 x 14.0 :: Painted on a single superior quality 11 x 14 inch synthetic paper panel (yupo) The Bell Ringer is a perfect example of Hunter’s uniquely expressive style -- which so often results in arresting images with a sense of depth and sculptural form. This abstract composition of a bell ringer is dominated by swirling black forms interspersed with vivid patches of blue and yellow against a stark white background. The black paint seems to flow dynamically creating movement and depth with areas that appear glossy and textured suggesting rich layers. The blue elements provide a sense of calm and contrast while the yellow highlights add energy and warmth. The piece conveys a sense of organic motion resembling a figure or a living entity in transformation. While the message is uncertain the resounding energy is unmistakable. Bell Ringer comes carefully packaged and shipped in a heavy-duty cardboard box for maximum protection. Signed on the back and ready to frame.
