Technics - SL-5200 Quartz Direct Drive Automatic Turntable

• Stunning Technics SL-5200 Turntable – Quartz Direct Drive (Semi-Automatic) • Vintage Technics SL-5200 High-End Turntable – Top Condition! Description: I am offering my legendary Technics SL-5200 turntable. This model hails from Technics’ golden era (1978-1979) and is known as an absolute quality machine. It uses the same powerful and extremely reliable direct-drive technology as the well-known SL-1200 series, but thanks to its semi-automatic operation it is perfectly designed for comfortable home use. Thanks to the Quartz control (Quartz Lock), the motor runs extremely stably and the speed (33 and 45 RPM) is always spot on. At the end of the record the tonearm automatically returns neatly to the armrest. Key specifications & features: • Drive: Quartz-controlled Direct Drive (no belts that can stretch or break) • Operation: Semi-automatic (auto cueing and return) • Chassis: Made from Technics Non-Resonant Compound (TNRC) for vibration resistance • Extras: Built-in pop-up stylus light (handy in the dark), strobe, and pitch control • Tonearm: High-quality S-shaped arm with gimbal bearing Condition of this turntable: • Technical: 100% in order. The motor starts immediately, the Quartz lock responds perfectly, and the auto cue works smoothly. No issue with the well-known 'runaway speed' fault. • Comes with a brand-new Audio-Technica cartridge and stylus. Sounds fantastic! • Cosmetic: In very good condition. • Dust cover: The original dust cover is in good condition with no cracks or splits, only light signs of use. The hinges are still fully intact and the cover stays open neatly with a 45-degree adapter. This has been inspected and works perfectly. The white reading lamp is on and off, and of course the orange RPM lamp works perfectly
