Technics - SB-G90 Speaker set

An unmissable opportunity for audiophiles and lovers of the Japanese Hi-Fi’s golden age. We present at auction a magnificent and imposing pair of Technics SB-G910 floorstanding speakers, true giants of acoustic engineering from the '80s. : Developed by the legendary Matsushita Electric in the early '80s, the SB-G910 perfectly embody the philosophy of the "big sound" and the "muscle-speaker" aesthetic of that decade. In an era when brand wars were fought with driver sizes and acoustic sensitivity, Technics created this uncompromising model to dominate large living rooms. Today, these speakers are not just playback devices, but authentic pieces of audio design history. They are highly sought after by collectors for their stunning stage presence and for their ability to deliver a crazy "live" dynamics, perfect for rock, funk, electronic, and disco music of the era. Acquiring today a pair in this exceptional state of preservation is a very rare event. Configuration 4-way and 5-speakers: A complex system designed to cover with surgical precision the entire sound spectrum, without overlaps. The legendary "Super Bass" Woofer: The beating heart of the system is the enormous 41 cm (16 inch) cone woofer, tuned in bass-reflex via double front ducts. It is capable of reaching earth-shaking frequencies, guaranteeing a firm, deep, and tactile bass that resonates in the gut. Record-breaking efficiency: With an incredible sensitivity of 99 dB/W at 1 meter, these speakers are incredibly easy to drive. They can transform even mid-wattage amplifiers (or classic vintage receivers) into true concert machines, delivering very high volumes without effort. Stand out the dual horn-loaded super-tweeters equipped with exclusive lamella louvers for optimal stereo dispersion. To crown the technological allure of the front panel we find the iconic LED protection indicator, a distinctly "Eighties" touch. Up to 300W (Music Power), for listening with very high dynamic range without any distortion. As widely documented in the photographic gallery, this pair presents itself in an optimal preservation state. The extremely delicate 41 cm woofer cones are immaculate, clean, and free of structural sagging, as are the beautiful ochre fiber midranges. The massive cabinets, with their faux-wood side finish and the mighty black deflector, show signs of time that are truly minimal and insignificant. What makes this lot a real "Holy Grail" for Technics collectors is the presence of the original fabric grills (often destroyed or lost over time, here in excellent condition) and, above all, the original era user manual. A safe investment and a piece of furniture with strong industrial-vintage character. Whether you’re an avid Technics collector or simply looking for a warm, powerful, and imposing vintage sound, the SB-G910 will dominate your listening room. Considering the dimensions and weight (35 kg total) and to preserve the collectible integrity of the item, the speakers will be packed in a maniacal and professional manner, with high-thickness anti-shock materials, and shipped via trackable express courier. Possibility of in-person pickup for those in the area.
