Table service for 6 (7) - Porcelain - Birds of Paradise

Winterling Bavaria dessert service in fine pierced porcelain, characterized by a refined poly-chrome decoration with a naturalistic taste. The peculiarity of the service consists of the entirely pierced rim, made with a regular succession of small vertical cutouts that visually lighten the shape and create an elegant lace-like effect on the porcelain. The edge is also outlined by a thin gilded thread. In the center of the plates there is a lively figurative decoration depicting colorful exotic birds perched among branches, leaves, and small flowers. The subjects are painted with bright colors — pink, red, blue, green and orange — creating a pleasant contrast with the white porcelain background. The composition recalls the eighteenth-century taste for oriental scenes and representations of exotic birds, reinterpreted by European production of a later era. The alternation between the bright white of the porcelain, the pierced rim, the gilding, and the lively central decoration makes the service particularly dramatic, while maintaining an elegant and easily integrable look on a classic table. The set consists of: 1 flat plate of 21.5 cm 6 flat plates of 15.5 cm Perfect condition.
