(t) RUSSIA. Ruble, 1922. St. Petersburg (Petrograd) Mint. NGC PROOF-66.

Stunning Premium Gem Proof 1922 Ruble (t) RUSSIA. Ruble, 1922. St. Petersburg (Petrograd) Mint. NGC PROOF-66. KM-Y-84. A VERY RARE Proof striking of this early Soviet Ruble in incredible Gem preservation, boasting a superb strike and smooth silvery-white surfaces. Tied with a mere two other examples as finest certified by NGC and well deserving of its lofty assignment, with watery luster dancing through the fields and only minute wispiness visible upon close inspection. Only the second example in Proof and by far the finest that we can recall offering over the past 25 years, and bearing the impressive Goodman pedigree to boot. Estimate: $20,000 - $30,000. Provenance: Ex: Irving Goodman Collection. Click here for certification details from NGC.
