Scintillating Kuang-hsu Posthumous Dollar (t) CHINA. Yunnan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (ca. 1911). Kunming Mint. In the name of Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS MS-64. cf. L&M-421A; K-169D; KM-Y-258.1; WS-0664. Variety with 4 circles under fiery pearl and 5 dots above dragon's right leg. Offering a sharp strike across both sides, this immobilized crown, likely issued ca. 1920-25, glistens with a great deal of vibrant brilliance, all while a steely gray nature enlivens its character that much more. Some subtle burnished spots pepper the characters side, but do not detract from its appearance, with the five "secret" dots above the dragon's leg diagnostic to this particular variant.
