[3] ff., 306 pp. Condition: The volume is in good interior condition; the binding is in fair condition. Pages 1 to 48 are uniformly browned. Creases and tears on the pages of the Table. Some stains on pp. 152 to 156. Rare foxing from p. 265 to the end of the volume. 1 folding plate on pp. 241 and 269. The other pages are clean, somewhat soiled, without foxing. Half-binding from the period, in prune calf. Smooth spine bearing title, fillets, and gilt border. Some epidermal marks on the spine. Spine, joints, tailcap, and boards rubbed. Headcap shaved, with a loss of about 0.5 cm at the front. Corners worn. The author, a refined confectioner, is a former maître d’hôtel to Count Pozzo di Borgo and to Count Stackelberg.
