Stool - Steel, Beech - Two vintage school stools

Two highly decorative vintage school stools. These stools are in good condition and date from the 1960s or 1970s. The blue one is probably a bit younger than the gray. The (not identical) stools are about 46 cm high and the seat has a diameter of around 35 cm. The gray stool weighs about 3 kg, the blue one about 4 kg. The stools have steel legs with a seat made of solid beech plywood, designed for school furniture, so especially sturdy and durable! The seats clearly show signs of frequent use by children. These are not just seat marks. All sorts of scratches and wear marks indicate that the stools have been used in many different ways. The blue stool’s seat is attached to the frame from the top with four screws, while the gray stool’s seat is fastened from the bottom, so you don’t see screws in the seat. Both stools are still 100% stable. Although the finish on the legs is still good, you can see various signs of use there as well (see photos). Due to the sturdy material, and also due to the construction, these stools are extremely sturdy and stable, and can still bear heavy loads. Although the stools are not identical, they are the same size. They are stackable and fit well together. So the stools are in good condition, with logical signs of use from the thousands of children who sat and stood on them. They fit very well in any interior. Very functional and attractively nostalgic furniture! Besides as seating, these stools also work well as pedestal stands for artwork or even as side tables (see photos). For the latter, the blue stool is particularly suitable because it has a 100% flat top. The gray stool has a very slight contour in the seat for more comfort. The stools are carefully packaged and shipped insured.
