Vintage Tiffany-style stained glass panel – 'The Path to Recovery' – c. 1970/1980 A beautiful and symbolic handmade stained glass panel (45 x 30 cm) in vibrant colors, with a deep message of hope, healing and recovery. Offered is this especially expressive and unique stained glass panel (suncatcher), carefully crafted in the refined copper foil technique (Tiffany style). The panel shows a beautifully detailed, stained depiction of a young, blonde woman in a white dress walking along the beach. What makes this artwork truly unique is the strong allegorical symbolism. The woman carries her wooden crutches behind her, symbolizing triumph, rehabilitation and leaving behind a physical setback. With her bare feet in the surf and her gaze aimed at the horizon, the piece exudes a powerful sense of regained freedom. The serene maritime backdrop with a small sailboat on the ocean and a starfish in the foreground reinforces this sense of calm and a new beginning. The panel is constructed from stunningly colored glass – especially the deep blue glass of the sky and sea captures daylight in magnificence. The facial features, the hair and the folds in the clothing are stained with great precision. The whole is housed in a sturdy lead profile with a contrasting soft pink glass edge and features a hanging chain at the top. • Dimensions: 45 cm high by 30 cm wide • Condition: In very good vintage condition.
