Spain. Medal 1981-1982. Pablo Picasso (No reserve price)

Pablo Picasso Silver 925 Medallion, great opportunity for purchase one original 24 carat gold finished, solid silver signed, ca 11 grams, size: aprox 3cm Design: This coin features a Cubist-style profile portrait, characteristic of Picasso's later work. It depicts a woman wearing a stylized hat, a recurring motif in the portraits the artist painted of his last wife and muse, Jacqueline Roque (especially inspired by his "Woman with a Straw Hat" series). It is a beautiful collector's item that combines numismatics, art history, and the memory of one of the most influential painters of the 20th century. Pablo Picasso’s revolutionary genius stands as a central pillar of the global art market, directly bridging the historic mastery of Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrandt with the boundary-pushing modernism of Gustav Klimt, Amedeo Modigliani, and Edvard Munch. His cubist and surrealist disruptions paved the way for the dramatic post-war abstractions of Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, and Barnett Newman, while sharing a deep, expressive affinity with the raw, figurative intensity of Francis Bacon and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Furthermore, Picasso's endless reinvention laid the groundwork for the bold pop aesthetics of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, the vibrant color landscapes of Claude Monet, and the structural lyricism of pioneering sculptors like Alberto Giacometti. Together, these fifteen titans shape a legacy where artistic defiance translates directly into the highest echelons of cultural and financial value.
