SOUTHERN AFRICA The first weekly regular flight from Southern Africa to Australasia left Cape Town on 4th Dec 1934 to connect up with the Imperial Airways flight at Cairo. Eight covers and a card from South Africa, South West Africa (2) Basutoland, Bechuanaland, Southern Rhodesia (2) Tanganyika and Zanzibar that were all on this flight which connected to the Australia flight in Cairo on 10th Dec and arrived Sydney 21st Dec. Interesting lot.
