Charming vintage 2-piece set featuring a classic Italian Sorrento wooden jewelry box with an integrated musical movement and an accompanying ladies' wristwatch. Crafted from rich (burl) walnut wood, the lid is adorned with fine inlaid floral marquetry. The box rests on shaped brass feet, comes with its original key with tassel, and features a deep blue velvet-lined interior. The underside retains the winding key for the mechanical music box, which plays the famous tune "Lara's Theme" when opened. Included inside the box is a ladies' wristwatch by Vuillemin Regnier Paris (Quartz movement with Roman numerals at XII and VI, fitted on an elastic band). Watch a short demonstration video of the music box here: Music Mechanism / Melody: The mechanical music box plays the famous tune "Lara's Theme" (renowned from the 1965 Academy Award-winning epic film Doctor Zhivago, composed by Maurice Jarre).
