Rare and unique screenprint from the series “Five Geometric Figures in Five Colors” (1986) by Sol LeWitt. This work is listed in the Sol LeWitt Prints Catalogue Raisonné under reference 1986.06. It is Plate #19, a geometric figure in gray, executed in LeWitt's characteristic minimalist and conceptual style. The work is hand-signed in pencil at the bottom right. This screen print is not numbered, as every print in this series is unique in its color composition and combination. As described in the Sol LeWitt Prints Catalogue Raisonné: 150 sets were multicolor. These sets are all unique in their combination (with some sets containing more than one form in the same color). None of these sets are numbered, as they are all unique pieces. Publisher: Bébert Rotterdam. Printed by Ger Stahlhofer (Suzo), Rotterdam. The work is professionally framed, floating-mounted in a mat and mounted in a hand-crafted walnut wood frame to custom specifications with Plexiglas Optical HC. Sol LeWitt (1928–2007) was a major American artist and pioneer of Conceptual Art and Minimal Art.
