SKE - Héros sous contrat

- Limited edition of the work "Héros sous contrat" by the artist SKE - Publisher: Atelier MONTMARTRE FineArt. - FineArt print on museum-quality Hahnemühle art paper. - Mixed media: digital painting (Procreate AI Photoshop) - Signed and numbered by the artist - Certificate of authenticity - ISO A3 format (42x29.7 cm) easy to frame. - Edition number: 04/10 With “Héros sous contrat,” SKE humorously distorts the imagery of our childhood heroes to question their appropriation by marketing. The lone cowboy, symbol of freedom and nonchalance, finds himself, against his will, facing a vintage advertisement and a contract drawn up by his loyal companion. A surreal and pop scene where comic innocence meets the codes of advertising, sponsorship, and commodification. Between nostalgia, irony, and street art, SKE reminds us that even the most free icons can end up caught in the great commercial rodeo. - FRAMING TIPS Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, remove it gently and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it can gradually return to its natural shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available at hardware or home decor stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and affordable; they showcase the works perfectly. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught French artist with a versatile background who grew up among the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work. He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meaning, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited in major venues across Europe, the United States, and Asia, solidifying his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also made his mark in the digital art market, a major trend in the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play characterize a now indispensable style. SKE is undoubtedly an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value. Awarded & Recognized Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art AN UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work belongs to a prestigious lineage. His line work combines the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol while integrating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge eras: they reinterpret the classics, not hesitating to remix Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to juxtapose them with a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on collective imagination, SKE manipulates the icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style that sometimes recalls Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits alongside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes that sometimes evoke the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
