Please consult the original photographs to verify the actual condition of the work.” This work in acrylic on canvas embraces the aesthetics of synthetic cubism and contemporary stained glass to portray the figure of a musician playing the guitar. Through a vibrant assembly of geometric planes bounded by clearly defined black outlines, the composition contrasts warm tones —reds, yellows and oranges— with cool blues and greens, achieving a remarkable chromatic balance and visual dynamism. The fragmentation of the face, the hat, and the figure of the instrumentalist evokes classical influences from the avant-gardes of the 20th century, incorporating background elements such as a flower vase and a window that enrich the intimate atmosphere of the space and reinforce the lyrical rhythm of the whole.
