[Signed] [First Edition] HABIBI

Limited to 1,000 copies, accompanied by an audio CD. Signed by François Rousseau and three of his models: Habibi Rodriguez, Fletcher Honket, and Roger Innis. This striking photographic suite contrasts the lifestyles of a 20-year-old boxer living in Brooklyn and a young interracial gay couple from Manhattan. Rousseau (b.1967), a French photographer, developed his aesthetic through drawing and painting. For more than 25 years, he has explored the possibilities offered by photography: during his travels or in the intimacy of the studio he captures a singular light, patiently constructs a work and a reflection about the body and nature in motion. This work was completed with the assistance of a Villa Médicis hors les Murs residency grant. Folio: unpaginated with color photographs throughout. Unbound, as issued, with full-color paper wrappers. Some mild edgewear; else near fine. Housed in the publisher's clamshell box. Text in French and English.
