Side table with handy storage - Breitafel - Sewing table. Vintage from Denmark. Mid-Century Modern. This Danish vintage side table is a classic example of Scandinavian design from the middle of the last century, combining practical storage with an elegant form. Originally made for knitting needles and wool, this versatile piece now serves perfectly as a striking side table with built-in storage. The table is made of oak veneer and features a clean, rectangular shape that is characteristic of the era. The top drawer is divided into multiple compartments, ideal for sorting small items or craft tools. Under the main drawer there is a wicker basket, offering extra storage for larger accessories. The piece stands on sturdy, straight wooden legs connected by an H-shaped crossbar for added stability. The furniture is in good vintage condition and has retained its structural integrity. The wood has a rich, authentic patina with signs of use that emphasize its origin in the mid-century, and the wicker basket is intact. This highly functional design piece is perfectly suited for a living room, bedroom, or creative studio. Thanks to its compact size and multifunctional qualities, it is an ideal addition beside an armchair or sofa.
