A premium automotive technical poster dedicated to the 1971 Lamborghini Espada Series II — Lamborghini’s extraordinary four-seat V12 grand tourer and one of the most distinctive designs of the Marcello Gandini era. This artwork presents the Lamborghini Espada in a clean factory technical-document style, combining precise front, side, rear and overhead views with dimensional references and a detailed representation of its front-mounted V12 powertrain. The Lamborghini Espada Introduced in 1968, the Espada was Lamborghini’s ambitious interpretation of a true four-seat high-performance grand tourer. Designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, the Espada combined an exceptionally low, long and wide body with enough interior space to accommodate four occupants. Its unusual proportions, enormous glass area and sharply defined fastback profile made it unlike almost anything else on the road. Espada Series II The Series II arrived in 1970 with a number of mechanical and interior revisions while retaining the fundamental Gandini-designed body. The 1971 model represented Lamborghini’s unusual combination of supercar engineering and genuine grand-touring practicality: a front-mounted V12, manual transmission, rear-wheel drive and seating for four. 3.9-Litre Lamborghini V12 At the heart of the Espada is Lamborghini’s legendary 60-degree V12. The 3929 cm³ naturally aspirated engine features dual overhead camshafts, 24 valves and six Weber carburetors. In Series II specification, output is approximately 350 PS at around 7,500 rpm, accompanied by approximately 394 Nm of torque. The same fundamental V12 architecture powered several of Lamborghini’s most important early automobiles and became one of the defining mechanical elements of the marque. Six Weber Carburetors Fuel is supplied through six Weber carburetors. Combined with the naturally aspirated V12 and high engine speed, this arrangement gives the Espada the mechanical character associated with Lamborghini’s classic grand touring cars of the period. Front-Engine Architecture Unlike the mid-engined Miura, the Espada places its V12 longitudinally in the front of the chassis. The technical overhead illustration emphasizes this layout, showing the substantial twelve-cylinder engine positioned ahead of the passenger compartment. This configuration allowed Lamborghini to create a genuine four-seat cabin while retaining the performance expected from the marque. Five-Speed Manual Transmission Power is transmitted through a five-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels. The traditional front-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration gives the Espada a fundamentally different architecture from Lamborghini’s mid-engined supercars while preserving the company’s focus on high-performance engineering. Four-Seat Grand Touring One of the Espada’s most remarkable characteristics is its ability to accommodate four occupants despite standing only approximately 1185 mm high. The exceptionally long 2650 mm wheelbase and broad 1860 mm body allowed Gandini to package a surprisingly spacious passenger compartment beneath the dramatic low roofline. Technical Dimensions Wheelbase: 2650 mm Front track: 1490 mm Rear track: 1490 mm Overall length: 4738 mm Overall width: 1860 mm Overall height: 1185 mm These dimensions explain much of the Espada’s visual character: extraordinarily long, very wide and exceptionally low. Performance The naturally aspirated 3.9-litre V12 produces approximately 350 PS. Top speed is approximately 245 km/h, while 0–100 km/h acceleration is approximately 6.5 seconds. For a four-seat grand tourer introduced at the end of the 1960s, these figures demonstrated the remarkable performance potential of Lamborghini’s V12 platform. Detailed Technical Composition The artwork includes precise front and rear elevations, a large side profile and an oversized orthographic top view. The overhead illustration reveals the longitudinal V12 installation and four-seat passenger layout, emphasizing the unusual packaging that made the Espada possible. Dimensional measurements, engine specifications, transmission information and performance figures are arranged in a structured technical-data format inspired by period factory documentation. A period-style Automobili Lamborghini technical inspection stamp completes the archival presentation. Specifications Model: Lamborghini Espada Series II Year: 1971 Engine configuration: 60° V12 Displacement: 3929 cm³ Valve system: DOHC / 24-valve Cooling: Water-cooled Engine position: Front longitudinal Aspiration: Naturally aspirated Induction: Six Weber carburetors Bore × stroke: 82.0 × 62.0 mm Power: Approximately 350 PS Power at: Approximately 7,500 rpm Torque: Approximately 394 Nm Transmission: 5-speed manual Drive: Rear-wheel drive Curb weight: Approximately 1600 kg Seating: Four Wheelbase: 2650 mm Front track: 1490 mm Rear track: 1490 mm Length: 4738 mm Width: 1860 mm Height: 1185 mm Top speed: Approximately 245 km/h 0–100 km/h: Approximately 6.5 seconds The poster makes a distinctive decorative piece for a garage, workshop, office, studio, living room or automotive collection. Its technical-document aesthetic is particularly suited to enthusiasts of classic Lamborghini models, Italian design, naturally aspirated V12 engines and unusual grand touring automobiles. A technical celebration of one of Lamborghini’s most unconventional creations — combining Marcello Gandini’s dramatic low-slung design, a legendary naturally aspirated V12, five-speed manual transmission and genuine four-seat accommodation. The poster will be carefully packed for shipping to ensure safe delivery.
