Shibuichi (one-quarter) - Signed Seizan 晴山 and with mark...

A shibuichi (四分一, traditional Japanese alloy) okimono depicting a hen (鶏, niwatori) with its head turned to the side. Finely engraved feathers reveal meticulous attention to naturalistic detail. Signed underneath the belly. Weight: 870 gr. Okimono (置物), combining the kanji "oki" (置き, to place) and "mono" (物, object), refers to a decorative object meant for display.
