Item: SHEAFFER Balance Fountain Pen with swirled celluloid in golden and amber tones with gold-plated details Length: 12.7 cm Diameter: 1.1 cm Nib: M Period: 1940s Materials: swirled celluloid body and cap (golden/ebonized pearl), clip and cap ring in gold metal, ribbed ebonite section, Sheaffer Feather Touch 5 nib in bi-color gold, stamped "SHEAFFER'S Feather Touch - Made in USA - 5" Condition: good condition for its age; the celluloid retains bright luster and vivid grain, with signs of use and fine superficial scratches distributed over the cap and body, more visible near the clip and in the upper third of the cap; the clip’s engraving "SHEAFFER'S" is legible; the gold ring shows slight wear of the plating; the nib appears intact and well aligned, with traces of old ink and patina on the section.
