Shaula Toma - Moi Et Toi

This work, entitled “Moi Et Toi,” is the first diptych in the artist’s namesake series. This pair of canvases creates a perfect visual dialogue. The title itself describes the nature of the piece: two distinct, autonomous elements that, when close, complete a story of colors and unique harmony. Shaula Toma has always nurtured a deep love for creativity in every form. A graduate in Art, she lives painting as a vital instinct, a necessity to give voice and outlet to what she feels. The canvas thus becomes a space where she welcomes her emotions, finding support and refuge in this path. In her journey she constantly experiments and explores new techniques, yet never loses her identity. Through acrylic colors and the decisive use of the spatula, she layers material to give form, to say that you understand this is a collection with a central focus—thickness and movement in every composition.
