Set of Four Norddeutscher Lloyd Passenger List Booklets

Set of four original passenger list booklets from the Norddeutscher Lloyd Bremen shipping line, dating to the early 1930s. The collection includes documents for the express turbine steamships SS Bremen and SS Europa on the Bremen to New York route. Each booklet features a cream-colored cover with gold-toned horizontal stripes and a center red and white shield crest topped by a gold-toned crossed key and anchor. The front covers are printed with the stylized red script Passagierliste and the vessel names. Interior title pages identify the vessels as Vierschrauben-Turbinen-Schnelldampfer and list voyages dated March 25, 1932 (Europa), April 27, 1932 (Bremen), November 28, 1933 (Bremen), and September 4, 1934 (Bremen). The reverse of each booklet bears the printed mark Offsetdruck Carl Sch¼nemann Bremen. Notable passengers listed in the September 1934 voyage include Gordon Auchincloss, Horace Dodge Jr., and Delphine Dodge. Dimensions: See Desc.
